Chests and Collectibles
Welcome, intrepid adventurer, to the definitive guide for unearthing every hidden treasure and valuable collectible scattered across the world of Final Fantasy V! This section will meticulously detail the locations of all chests, hidden items, and other significant finds, ensuring you leave no stone unturned. Remember, some chests are one-time opportunities, so pay close attention to the walkthrough steps.
World 1 Collectibles
Wind Shrine
- Potion: Upon entering the shrine, head directly north. The chest is easily visible.
- Tent: From the first Potion chest, proceed east and then south. The chest is in a small alcove.
- Broadsword: After defeating Wing Raptor, follow the path to the next floor. The chest is on the main path.
- Leather Cap: In the room with the crystal, check the far-left corner.
Tycoon Castle
- Potion (x2):
- In the main hall, check the chest on the right side of the entrance.
- Head upstairs to the second floor. The chest is in the first room on the left.
- Phoenix Down: On the second floor, in the room directly across from the Potion chest.
- Tent: On the third floor, in the bedroom to the far right.
- Elixir: In the King's chamber on the top floor, examine the bookshelf on the right. This is a hidden item, not a visible chest.
Pirate's Hideout
- Potion: After entering, take the first path to the right. The chest is at the end.
- Knife: From the Potion chest, head north into the next room. The chest is on the left.
- Leather Shield: In the room where you find the ship, check the small alcove on the far right.
Worus Tower
This tower is a maze of hidden passages and timed events. Be prepared for battles and keep your eyes peeled!
- Potion (x3):
- On the first floor, take the stairs up and then immediately down to a small platform.
- On the second floor, in the room with the moving platforms, take the northern platform.
- On the third floor, after the first set of rotating platforms, in a small nook to the left.
- Tent: On the first floor, after taking the first set of stairs, head left.
- Mythril Sword: On the second floor, after navigating the first set of rotating platforms, it's in the room to the right.
- Elixir: On the fourth floor, in the room with multiple exits, take the top-right exit. This is a tricky one, requiring precise movement on the disappearing floor tiles.
- Ether: On the fifth floor, just before the boss encounter, in the bottom-left corner of the room.
Karnak Castle
Warning: Karnak Castle is a timed dungeon! You have a limited amount of time to collect all items before the castle explodes. Prioritize the most valuable items if you're struggling with time.
- Potion (x2):

- On the second floor, in the first room you enter.
- Phoenix Down: On the first floor, in the room to the right of the entrance.
- Elixir: On the second floor, in the room to the far left. This is often missed due to the time limit.
- Mythril Glove: On the second floor, in the room directly above the entrance.
- Green Beret: On the third floor, in the room to the right.
- Main Gauche: On the third floor, in the room to the left. This is a valuable early-game weapon for agile characters.

Another timed dungeon, though less strict than Karnak Castle. Focus on efficiency.

- In the engine room, near the entrance.

- Ether: On the second floor, in the western section.
- Hi-Potion: On the third floor, in the central area.
