Vargas is encountered on Mt. Kolts. He is accompanied by two Ipoohs. Defeat the Ipoohs first, as they can heal Vargas. Vargas himself is a strong physical attacker. Once the Ipoohs are down, Sabin will be forced into a solo battle. This is where you must use Sabin's 'Pummel' Blitz (Left, Right, Left) to defeat Vargas. If you fail the Blitz, you'll likely lose. Practice the input beforehand to ensure victory.
