You'll primarily control Cloud, with occasional opportunities to utilize Barret's unique abilities. Focus on conserving ATB and MP, as resources can be scarce in the early stages of this mission.

The chapter begins with Cloud and Barret infiltrating a Shinra facility. You'll encounter security robots and guards. Utilize Cloud's basic attacks and Barret's ranged capabilities to dispatch them efficiently. Remember to use the Assess Materia on new enemy types to learn their weaknesses and resistances. This information is crucial for optimizing your combat strategy.

A key segment involves navigating through ventilation shafts and tight corridors. Be mindful of environmental hazards and enemy patrols. Barret's unique ability to interact with certain machinery can open new paths or disable security systems. Pay attention to the environment for any interactive elements that might provide an advantage.

Later in the chapter, you'll face a more sificant combat encounter against a Security Officer and several Security Guards. Prioritize taking out the guards first to reduce the incoming damage. Cloud's Braver ability is effective for dealing burst damage, while Barret's Overpower can stagger enemies quickly. If you have equipped any elemental Materia, now is the time to exploit enemy weaknesses.

The chapter culminates in a stealth section followed by a boss fight against the Security Chief. This boss utilizes a powerful energy blade and can summon reinforcements.
