Plot Summary

Mako, the planet's lifeblood, fuels the city of Midgar. The Shinra Electric Power Company exploits this resource through Mako Reactors, seizing control of the world. Avalanche, a group of idealists, resists Shinra. Cloud, an elite SOLDIER operative turned mercenary, joins Avalanche to destroy Mako Reactor 1 in Midgar. The bombing causes chaos, and Cloud experiences visions of a long-dead enemy. After this, he meets a flower girl, and swirling shadows surround them, beginning a story that shapes the world's destiny.
