Finding All GF Summons
Guardian Forces (GFs) are indispensable allies in Final Fantasy VIII, providing powerful attacks and crucial abilities through the Junction system. Acquiring all available GFs is essential for maximizing your party's potential and unlocking the full spectrum of strategic options available in the game.
Most GFs are obtained naturally through the main story progression. For instance, Quezacotl and Shiva are acquired early in the game. Others, like Ifrit and Siren, are obtained during key story moments or by defeating specific bosses. The game guides you towards acquiring a sificant portion of these powerful allies.
However, several GFs are hidden and require dedicated effort to obtain. These include Diabolos (obtained by defeating it in the Centra Ruins after acquiring the Magic Lamp), Leviathan (found in Shumi Village), Pandemona (obtained during the Lunar Cry), Bahamut (found in the Centra Ruins), and the highly sought-after Eden (drawn from Ultima Weapon at the Deep Sea Research Center).
