Standard Item Shops (All Locations)

These are the basic item shops found in most major settlements. Their stock is fairly consistent early on but expands with better healing and support items as you advance.

Availability: These items are generally available from Chapter 1 onwards at shops in Besaid Village, Kilika Port, Luca, Guadosalam, and the Calm Lands.

Besaid Village Shop

The shop in Besaid is run by the ever-helpful Wakka (or Lulu, depending on the chapter). Its stock is humble but essential for early game. Remember to check back after completing the "Besaid Island Episode Complete" for potential upgrades!

Travel Agency Shops (Mushroom Rock Road, Djose, Moonflow, Calm Lands, Macalania)

The various Travel Agencies across Spira, run by the ever-present Rin, offer a standardized set of goods. While their stock is largely consistent, they are reliable sources for common items and sometimes carry specific elemental attack items or status cures that might be useful in their respective regions.

Strategy Tip: While the Travel Agencies' stock doesn't change drastically, they are excellent for stocking up on elemental gems before heading into areas with specific elemental weaknesses, such as the Thunder Plains or Macalania Woods.

Cactuar Nation Merchant (Bikanel Desert)

Once you've made significant progress in the Cactuar Nation sidequest, a merchant will appear in the oasis offering some unique and powerful items.

  • Mega-Elixir: Fully restores HP and MP to all allies. (5000 Gil)
  • Defense Veil: Accessory, increases Defense +10, Magic Defense +10. (2500 Gil)
  • Speed Bracer: Accessory, increases Agility +10. (3000 Gil)
  • Adamantite: Accessory, grants Auto-Protect and Auto-Shell. (10000 Gil) - A must-have for tough encounters!

Availability: After completing the "Cactuar Nation" mission in Chapter 5.
