  • Background: The world of Spira was once technologically advanced with "machina" but was devastated by "Sin" one thousand years ago. Sin's cyclical return is seen as punishment by the teachings of Yevon. Tidus, a Blitzball star, is transported to Spira from a past Zanarkand destroyed by Sin.
  • Luca Opening (C101):
    • Enemies: Goon, She-Goon, ????
    • Initial Battle: After an FMV, you enter a battle. Focus on Goons first, then ????. Steal a Hi-Potion from ???? with Rikku.
    • ????'s Attacks: Thunder (Single/Magic/Thunder), Ecstasy (Recover 29 HP to goons/adds regen status to goons)
    • Goon's Attacks: Physical Attack (Single/Physical)
    • Post-Battle: Fight two regular goons. Follow the Yuna look-a-like to the next screen. Head south towards the harbor and examine the moogle for a full heal. Continue the chase to the third dock for a scene and another battle, gaining your third and final party member.
  • CommSphere Locations and Interactions:
    • Airship: Speak to Wakka and Beclem at Besaid Island (6), Barthello at Kilika Temple (1), see Shelinda interviewing at Luca (3).
    • Mi'ihen Highroad: Gather evidence to find Rikku as the culprit. Part 1: Check the Ruins for malfunctioning machina, check the Newroad for a crowd. Part 2: Check Shinra's Commsphere and call Rin, check Hover Crash Site and call Rin when machina appear. Part 3: Check Travel Agency, Back and call Rin, check Travel Agency, Front and call Rin. To find Rin as the culprit (forfeits 100%): Part 1: Call Rin from Shinra's Commsphere. Part 2: Doesn't matter. Part 3: Check Hover Crash Site for Commsphere malfunction, switch to Newroad to see Rin, then call him. Call Rin five times to stop him from coming.
    • Djose Temple: Hear Al Bhed talking (1). The first and fifth scenes give Al Bhed Primers.
    • Guadosalam: Speak to Ormi (1).
    • Thunder Plains: Catch the Chocobo with the Chocoporter (1).
    • Macalania Woods: Hear band members talking at the Entrance (1). Speak to O'aka at the Travel Agency (1).
    • Bikanel Desert Camp: Speak to Nhadala (1).
    • Bevelle: Hear the Kinderguardians admire Shinra (3) (NY only).
    • Calm Lands: At Chocobo Farm, hear Clasko saying 'You're A Good Boy, Aren't You?' (2). If you watch the fourth scene, 50000 gil will be available in CH5.
    • Mt. Gagazet: Speak to Kimahri (1). At Hot Springs, see Tobli, Buddy & Barkeep, O'aka, Isaaru, Elma & Lucil, Meichen, Cid & Nhadala, Dona (15).
