FFX: Optional Bosses (Dark Aeons & Penance)
When facing certain optional bosses in FFX, strategic character usage is key. For a boss weak to Fire and susceptible to Darkness, a specific party setup and ability rotation can significantly ease the fight. Exploiting elemental weaknesses and status effects will be crucial for victory.
For a boss susceptible to Darkness and weak to Fire:
- Begin with Lulu casting Fire repeatedly to target the boss's weak point.
- Bring in Wakka to use Dark Attack, inflicting Darkness to neutralize the boss's physical attacks.
- Switch to Auron to apply Power Break, further reducing physical damage if attacks land.
- Once the boss is Blinded and Broken, immediately switch to Yuna.
- Summon Valefor and have him use Fire, as his magical attacks are likely stronger than Lulu's, and his Overdrive can deal significant damage.
