Gagazet Mountain in Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster offers several quests and opportunities for percentage completion. Engage with characters, find hidden items, and complete timed challenges to maximize your progress. This guide details the steps for each quest, including specific dialogue choices and item locations to ensure you don't miss anything.

Gagazet Mountain Quests

Upon gaining control, head up the mountain next to the save sphere. A character will speak to you; choose to remember him. Afterward, go down the mountain to the left towards the old blitz dome. You'll encounter kids who give you the clue "key." Inside the dome, follow the kids and remember the one who speaks to you. Continue on to find a goon who gives the clue "mon" before attacking. Defeat him.

Next, head up the ledge and down the other side to collect a Mega Phoenix. Go north and defeat another standing goon. Run east to find a Phoenix Down in a chest. Continue until you meet another group of Goons; defeat them and head north to the next area. You can talk to people here or proceed north to the cloister of trials. In the second half, use the lift to descend to the chamber of the faith. Save your game, then talk to Cid and select the second option, "You bet I do," for more percentage. After Cid, speak to the chubby guy to clear the path to the door.

Inside the great hall, collect the following items from chests:

  • Elixir
  • Phoenix Down
  • Hi-Potion
  • Remedy x2
  • Remedy
  • Ether

Head north through the door. After a scene, a voice will ask questions; reply, "Is that you Isaaru?" to receive the Heart Reborn Garment Grid. Save your game before proceeding, as a difficult boss awaits. Head back and use the north stairs to go down. At the end of the path, a boss will attack.

Additional Mt. Gagazet Activities

  • Kimahri's Dialogue: Speak to Kimahri twice. Reply, "You have to figure this out on your own."
  • Ronso Dialogue: Speak to the Ronso and use these replies:
    • "He does seem very tired."
    • "What if the Guado retaliate?"
    • "Maybe the Guado really are to blame."
    • "And what of the Guado?"
    • "Please, try to think about it some more."
    • "Then ... there won't be anyone left to fight."
    • "They should take better care of the mountain."
  • Hot Springs Cutscenes: Enter the Hot Springs through the upper path for extra cutscenes.
  • Syndicate Uniform Mission: Complete the mission to obtain the Syndicate Uniform. You will get the Stonehewn GG by beating Ormi. You can steal an X-Potion from Ormi.
  • Hidden Items: An Elixir can be found up the mountain path (walk slowly).

Gagazet Ruins Timed Mission

This mission becomes available when the party returns to the Celsius after events in Luca. The objective is to be the first to the top of the ruins within a time limit. Completing this mission rewards you with the Black Mage Dressphere. A Mega Phoenix and an Elixir can be found on the exterior of the ruins.
