Side Quests & Activities

Engage in various side quests and activities throughout Spira to enhance your journey and achieve 100% completion. These range from treasure hunting and PR missions to specific character interactions that unlock new items and story percentages. Many areas become blocked off after certain story progressions, so timing is crucial for some quests.

  • Mi'ihen Highroad:
    • Listen to Yuna's Memories of the Highroad (+0.2%).
    • Speak to the female Al Bhed at the southern end of the highroad (Part of Rin's Mystery side quest).
    • Complete any treasure hunting/PR mission stuff BEFORE speaking to Calli. Certain parts of the Mi'ihen get blocked off afterwards.
    • Mission Complete (Catch A Chocobo And Save Calli Within The Time Limit).
    • Speak to Clasko and Calli and let them and the Chocobo board the Airship.
    • After defeating the Chocobo Eater, you gain a Selene Guard GG.
    • After completing the mission, enter the agency and witness Rin walking out the door (Part of Rin's Mystery side quest).
    • An X-Potion can be stolen from Chocobo Eater.
    • An Ether is on the North side of the Oldroad.
  • Mushroom Rock Road:
    • Speak with Yaibal.
    • Speak with Clasko at the Entrance.
    • At The Den Of Woe, encounter Ormi and Logos. Speak with Maroda.
    • Mission Complete.
    • Speak to Clasko again and allow him to come onboard.
    • At Youth League Headquarters, speak with Lucil twice.
    • At Youth League Headquarters, speak with Maechen without interrupting and shake his hand.
    • Go back to the Airship and watch Sphere 'Crimson Report 1'.
    • Speak to Clasko in the cabin.
    • You get Crimson Sphere 9 from Ormi and Logos in the Den of Woe.
    • Speak to Elma to complete the mission and collect the Heart of Flame GG.
    • The hidden ledge on the east side of the YLHQ holds the Restless Sleep GG.
    • A Turbo Ether is on your left as you enter the gorge.
    • Ethers can be stolen from the Tonberry enemy.
  • Zanarkand Ruins:
    • Inside the Dome, speak to Cid and choose "You Bet I Do!" (+1.8%).
    • White Wind can be learned from Ms. Goon.
    • Mission Complete.
    • A Mega Phoenix can be found.
  • Calm Lands:
    • Raise PR Level to 5. Episode Complete! (Receives a Free Pass).
    • Unlock and Complete Chocobo Secret Dungeon. Episode Complete!
    • You get a Speed Bracer for finding the man a wife.
    • Aurora Rain is in the Chamber of the Fayth.
    • Send a Chocobo to Bikanel to unlock a new digging area.
    • Mounted Assault and Strength of One GG's are gotten through Chocobo Treasure Hunting.
    • Disaster in Bloom and Flash of Steel GG's are for sale through Argent and Open Air at Lv5 after the merger.
    • Supernova BB can be learned from Ultima Weapon if it is not Oversouled.
    • ABC's of Repair, Machina Reactor, and AP Egg are found in the secret Dungeon.
    • You get an Awesome Chocobo and the Higher Power GG for beating Anything Eater.
    • 50000 gil or a Sword Lore and Mega Phoenix(x4) can be found in the Calm Lands and Cavern of the Stolen Fayth.
    • Mega Phoenix(x2) can be found in the secret dungeon.
