Fragments are the primary collectibles in Final Fantasy XIII-2, scattered across all time periods. There are 160 Fragments in total, and collecting them all is a significant undertaking. Fragments are earned by completing side quests, solving 'Temporal Rifts' and 'Paradox Anomalies,' defeating certain powerful enemies, and sometimes by simply finding them in hidden locations. Each Fragment provides a small piece of lore and contributes to your overall completion percentage. Collecting a certain number of Fragments can also unlock special abilities or bonuses from Chocolina. For example, reaching specific Fragment milestones can grant you access to powerful accessories or even new game+ options. Many Fragments are tied to specific side quests, so actively pursuing these will naturally lead to a higher Fragment count. Use Mog's 'Mog Hunt' ability (L1/LB + R1/RB) to reveal hidden Fragments in your vicinity. Some Fragments require specific monster abilities or items to access, so keep an eye out for environmental clues.
