Gil is essential for purchasing new equipment, upgrading weapons, and stocking up on consumables. While battles provide some Gil, there are more efficient farming methods.
- Chocobo Racing: This is arguably the most lucrative method. Train a high-performing Chocobo and compete in the highest-tier races in Serendipity. Winning these races can net you a large amount of casino coins, which can be exchanged for valuable items like 'Platinum Ingots' or 'Gold Nuggets' that sell for high Gil.
- Selling Monster Materials: As you progress, you'll accumulate a vast amount of monster materials. While some are used for upgrading, many are simply for selling. Check the 'Sell' tab at Chocolina's shop and sell off excess materials, especially those that aren't used for your current weapon upgrades or monster infusions.
- Fragment Skills: Some Fragment skills, unlocked by collecting a certain number of Fragments, can increase Gil drops from battles. Activate these skills when farming for maximum efficiency.
- Replaying Time Gates: Certain time gates, especially those with powerful enemies or treasure spheres, can be replayed by using a 'Gate Seal' to reset the area. This allows you to re-collect treasure and re-fight enemies for drops.
