Chocobo riding becomes available after completing Mission 14: 'The Wayward Warmech' in the Archylte Steppe. Once unlocked, you can summon a Chocobo at specific Chocobo statues. Chocobos provide a faster way to traverse the vast landscapes of Gran Pulse, making exploration much more efficient. More importantly, Chocobos can uncover hidden treasures. While riding, keep an eye out for a '!' icon appearing above the Chocobo's head; this indicates a nearby hidden item. Dismount and search the area to find valuable components, Gil, or even rare accessories. Chocobo riding is essential for reaching certain areas and finding all collectibles on Gran Pulse, so unlock it as soon as possible.
