Quests are the lifeblood of Final Fantasy XIV. The most important are the Main Scenario Quests (MSQ), indicated by a meteor icon. These quests progress the overarching story and unlock new areas, dungeons, trials, and features. Always prioritize MSQ. Side quests (exclamation mark icons) offer additional lore, experience, and items but are not strictly necessary for progression. Blue quests with a '+' icon unlock new features, classes, or content and should also be prioritized.
