Discovering hidden quests in Final Fantasy XIV can offer unique rewards and expand your understanding of Eorzea's rich lore. While not always obvious, these quests often provide valuable experience, gil, and sometimes even High Quality (HQ) items. Paying attention to details and interacting with NPCs can unveil these optional but rewarding adventures.

Gathering is an optional activity not required for the main scenario, but it significantly benefits Synthesis classes by providing unique materials and reducing costs. Gathering also offers a chance to obtain High Quality (HQ) items, which are more valuable for synthesis, grant more experience, and are necessary for certain quests.

Further levels of the Scrip Exchange are unlocked with each expansion. Starting with Stormblood, these quests, such as "Reach Long and Prosper," are single conversations without Journal entries. Once an expansion's inventory is unlocked, it becomes available at all Scrip Exchange NPCs.
