In human form, focus on Precision Dodging his attacks and using your most powerful Eikon abilities during stagger. 'Diamond Dust' (Shiva) and 'Gigaflare' (Bahamut) are excellent for building stagger and dealing damage. In Eikon-vs-Eikon phases (as Ifrit), focus on dodging his massive attacks and retaliating with Ifrit's fiery assaults.
