General Material Acquisition

Most common crafting materials can be acquired through several reliable methods:

Defeating Enemies: Nearly all enemies, from the smallest Feral Coeurl to the largest Notorious Mark, drop various materials upon defeat. Stronger enemies and bosses often yield rarer components.
Exploration & Gathering: Keep an eye out for sparkling nodes and chests scattered throughout the various regions of Valisthea. These often contain common resources like Wyrrite and Magicked Ash.
Vending Merchants: Early-game materials can often be purchased from merchants in safe zones like The Hideaway or various towns. While convenient, this can be an expensive option for rarer items.
Side Quests & Hunts: Completing side quests and taking on Notorious Marks from the Hunt Board are excellent ways to earn unique and high-tier crafting materials, often as guaranteed rewards.

Key Crafting Materials & Where to Find Them

Wyrrite

A fundamental component for almost all early to mid-game crafting and upgrades.

Locations: Extremely common. Found in virtually every explorable region, often dropped by basic enemies such as Goblins, Wolves, and Aevis. Look for glowing resource nodes in areas like the Imperial Province of Rosaria and the Dhalmekian Republic.
Strategy: Simply play through the main story and engage in combat. You'll accumulate plenty of Wyrrite without actively farming. If you're short, revisit earlier areas and clear out enemy groups.

Magicked Ash

Another ubiquitous material, crucial for many early-game weapon and armor enhancements.

Locations: Similar to Wyrrite, Magicked Ash is a frequent drop from most common enemies across Valisthea. You'll also find it in treasure chests and sparkling resource points in regions like Sanbreque and the Iron Kingdom.
Strategy: Like Wyrrite, consistent combat and exploration will provide a steady supply. Don't go out of your way to farm this unless you're severely lacking; it will come naturally.

Bloody Hide

A common animal product used in various armor crafting recipes.

Locations: Primarily dropped by beast-type enemies such as Wolves, Coeurls, and other predatory wildlife. You'll encounter these frequently in open-world areas.
Strategy: If you need a quick supply, head to any wilderness area and hunt down packs of beasts. The Stillwinds region is a good early-game spot for this.

Sharp Fang

Another animal-derived material, essential for upgrading weapons.

Locations: Obtained from the same beast-type enemies that drop Bloody Hide. Focus on larger, more aggressive beasts for a better chance at higher quantities.
Strategy: Combine your Bloody Hide farming with Sharp Fang acquisition by targeting areas dense with wildlife.

Electrum

A valuable metal used in mid-to-late game crafting and high-tier upgrades.

Locations: Rarer than early-game materials. Electrum is often found as a reward for completing specific side quests, particularly those involving more challenging encounters. It can also be dropped by stronger elite enemies and Notorious Marks in later regions.
Strategy: Prioritize completing side quests as they become available. Check the Hunt Board regularly for Marks that list Electrum as a potential reward.

Orichalcum

The rarest and most sought-after crafting material, vital for crafting the most powerful gear, including the legendary Ultima Weapon.

Locations: Extremely limited. Orichalcum is typically acquired from defeating specific, high-level Notorious Marks (S-Rank Hunts) and as rewards for completing the most challenging side quests in the late game. It is also a guaranteed drop from certain story bosses in Final Fantasy Mode.
Strategy:
1. S-Rank Hunts: Keep a close eye on the Hunt Board. Marks like Gorgimera (Atlas) and Svarog are known to drop Orichalcum. These are formidable foes, so ensure you are well-prepared.
2. Late-Game Side Quests: Some of the final side quests, often tied to specific characters or factions, will reward Orichalcum upon completion. Do not skip these!
