Faceless Bosses (Various Paralouges)
Confronting the enigmatic Faceless bosses in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest's paralogues requires a nuanced approach, as their unique abilities and stat distributions can pose significant challenges. These formidable foes often appear in optional missions, such as the paralogue "The Dragon's Gate," where a powerful Faceless Lord might guard a crucial artifact. Unlike standard enemies, Faceless units frequently possess high defensive stats, making direct assaults less effective. For instance, a Faceless Sentinel might boast upwards of 40 Defense, necessitating the use of powerful offensive units or those with effective damage against their specific type. Units like the Paladin class, with their inherent bonus against monstrous units, can be particularly effective. Pay close attention to their movement range and attack patterns; many Faceless units have a 2-range attack, meaning they can strike from a distance without being counter-attacked if positioned carefully. Some Faceless bosses also possess unique skills like "Vengeance," which increases their damage based on their HP loss, making it dangerous to chip away at them slowly. It's often more efficient to focus fire with your strongest units, such as a fully promoted Wyvern Lord with a high Strength stat, to defeat them in as few turns as possible. Prioritize eliminating any support units that might be healing or buffing the Faceless boss, as this can prolong the encounter and increase the risk of your own units falling. Remember to utilize any Levin Swords or effective weaponry you may have acquired to maximize damage output against these resilient foes.
