Camilla Build Guide
Camilla, the beloved Princess of Nohr and wielder of the unique Axe, Freikrug, is a potent flying unit in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. Her high Strength and Speed, combined with her flying mobility, make her an exceptional offensive force. Her personal skill, Rally Speed, provides a +4 Speed bonus to adjacent allies when activated, making her a valuable support unit as well as a damage dealer. When building Camilla, the primary focus should be on maximizing her Strength and Speed, allowing her to double-attack frequently and deal massive damage with her Axes. Her natural flying ability allows her to traverse difficult terrain and bypass enemy formations, making her incredibly versatile.
For optimal performance, consider promoting Camilla to a Wyvern Lord or a Malig Knight. The Wyvern Lord class offers increased Strength and Defense, along with access to Axes and Lances, making her a well-rounded combatant. The Malig Knight, on the other hand, grants access to Tomes and Axes, allowing her to deal magical damage and inflict status effects, which can be particularly useful against certain enemy types. If you have access to the Lifetaker skill from a Dark Knight, it can significantly enhance her survivability by restoring HP after combat. Pairing Camilla with units that can provide Rally skills, such as a Tactician or a Strategist, can further amplify her combat effectiveness. For instance, a Rally Strength from a nearby ally can push her already high Strength even higher, allowing her to one-shot many enemies. Her sature weapon, Freikrug, is a powerful unique Axe with 17 Might and 100 Hit, making it a reliable choice throughout the game. However, consider equipping her with other high-Strength Axes or Lances as well, especially if Freikrug is being used by another unit or if you need a weapon with different properties. Camilla's natural weakness lies in her Resistance, making her vulnerable to powerful mages and archers. Therefore, pairing her with units that can draw enemy fire or provide defensive buffs is a wise strategy. Units like Effie, who has high Defense, or Silas, who can provide defensive support, can help mitigate this weakness. Ensure Camilla is positioned to engage enemy fliers or to strike vulnerable targets from afar, using her flying advantage to her full potential.
Her ability to fly over obstacles and engage enemies from unexpected angles makes her a crucial unit for breaking through enemy lines or for quickly reaching objectives. When facing challenging maps with difficult terrain or heavily fortified positions, Camilla's mobility and offensive power can be the key to success. Her Rally Speed skill also makes her an excellent support unit, enabling her allies to double-attack more frequently and thus increasing the overall damage output of your army. This dual role as a powerful attacker and a valuable support unit makes Camilla one of the most versatile and impactful characters in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.
