Kaze Build Guide

Kaze, a Ninja in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, is a fast and evasive unit whose primary strengths lie in his high Speed and Skill. His personal skill, Pass, allows him to move through enemy units, granting him exceptional mobility and the ability to reach otherwise inaccessible targets. This makes him ideal for flanking maneuvers and assassinating key enemy units, such as the troublesome Dark Mages found in Chapter 15, "The Silent Temple."

For weapon choices, Kaze's natural affinity for Shurikens makes them his go-to. The Poison Strike is an excellent early-game option, as its poison effect can chip away at enemy HP over time, making them easier for other units to finish off. As he progresses, the Steel Shuriken offers a good balance of power and accuracy. If you're looking for critical hits, the Killer Shuriken can be very effective, especially when paired with his high Skill. His ability to use both Shurikens and Swords upon promotion offers further flexibility.

Upon promotion, Kaze has two primary paths: Master Ninja or Silent Ninja. The Master Ninja path further enhances his Speed and Skill, granting access to the potent Lethality skill, which has a chance to instantly defeat any enemy. The Silent Ninja path focuses more on evasion and critical hits, offering the Miracle skill. For Kaze's offensive role, the Master Ninja path is generally preferred due to the sheer power of Lethality and the continued boost to his core stats. His support options are also important; pairing him with units that can provide defensive buffs, like Corrin or Sakura, can allow him to take more risks.

A common mistake when building Kaze is underestimating his fragility. While he has high Speed and evasion, his HP and Defense are relatively low. He cannot withstand sustained direct combat against multiple enemies. His Pass skill should be used to position him advantageously, allowing him to strike and then retreat or move to a safer location. Investing in stat-boosting items like the Speedwing can further enhance his already impressive Speed, making him even harder to hit and allowing him to double-attack more consistently. His role is often that of a precision strike unit, rather than a frontline tank.
