Laslow Build Guide
Laslow, the charismatic and enigmatic retainer to Xander, is a versatile offensive unit in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. As a Troubadour, his initial strengths lie in his decent Speed and Skill, allowing him to land hits reliably and avoid being doubled by many early-game threats. His personal skill, Charm, grants adjacent allies a +2 bonus to Hit and Avoid, making him a valuable support unit in addition to his offensive capabilities.
Laslow begins as a Troubadour, a mounted healer with good movement. While he can heal, his true potential lies in his offensive capabilities once he reclasses. His early game can be spent supporting allies with his Charm skill while he gains experience. while he starts as a Troubadour, his optimal path often involves reclassing into a more combat-oriented class. His ability to gain access to swords and axes makes him a flexible physical attacker.
Upon reaching level 10 as a Troubadour, Laslow can promote into a Strategist or a Butler. However, for a combat-focused build, it is highly recommended to reclass him immediately at level 10 using a Second Seal. A prime reclassing option for Laslow is the Samurai class. From Samurai, he can promote into a Swordmaster, gaining access to swords and the potent Rengoku skill, which significantly boosts critical hit damage. Alternatively, he can reclass into the Fighter class and promote into a Berserker, gaining access to axes and a high critical hit rate. Both paths leverage his good Speed and Skill to deliver devastating blows.
When considering reclassing, if Laslow is reclassed into Samurai, he can then promote to Swordmaster. If he is reclassed into Fighter, he can promote to Berserker. If he is reclassed into Cavalier, he can promote to Paladin or Great Knight, offering a more balanced offensive and defensive role with access to swords and lances. Stat-boosting items such as the Speedwing to further enhance his speed or the Hero Proof to promote him into a more offensive class earlier can be very beneficial. Laslow's versatility allows for multiple effective builds, but focusing on his offensive stats and critical hit potential through classes like Swordmaster or Berserker will make him a standout damage dealer in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.
