Players will frequently acquire several items, from healing consumables like Vulneraries and Concoctions to weapon-based items and even unique tonics. Understanding how to best use and store these items can make the difference between victory and defeat. The inventory system allows for a limited number of items per unit, necessitating strategic decisions about who carries what. For instance, front-line units like Arthur or Benny should prioritize carrying healing items, while more mobile units might carry utility items or specialized weapons. It's important to regularly visit the Item menu between battles to redistribute items. Consider assing specific roles to units based on their inventory capacity and combat role. For example, a unit desated as a "healer" might carry multiple Vulneraries, while a powerful offensive unit might carry a Killer Bow or a Brave Sword for critical engagements. Don't overlook the value of tonics, such as the Strength Tonic or Speed Tonic, which can provide temporary stat boosts crucial for overcoming difficult enemy formations or surviving a particularly tough enemy phase. Regularly checking the Armory and the Merchant is also vital. While Conquest doesn't offer the same free-roaming opportunities as other titles, the Merchant provides a consistent source of essential goods.
