Sakura Build Guide

Sakura, the youngest princess of Hoshido, is primarily a healer with a strong aptitude for magic. Her personal skill, Devotion, grants her +2 damage and +10 hit when adjacent to Corrin, making her a valuable support unit in close proximity to the protagonist. Her starting class is Shrine Maiden, which promotes to Priestess or Onmyoji. For a build focused on maximizing her healing and magical offensive capabilities, promoting to Priestess is a solid choice, granting access to the Miracle skill, which has a chance to survive a lethal blow with 1 HP. If focusing on offensive magic, Onmyoji provides access to both Tomes and Staves, along with the Magic +2 skill.

When building Sakura, prioritize her Magic and Resistance stats. Stat-boosting items like the Magic Tonic and Resistance Tonic can significantly enhance her healing output and her ability to withstand magical attacks. Her primary role is healing, so ensuring she has access to potent staves like the Physic Staff (range 5) and the Rescue Staff (range 5) is paramount. For offensive capabilities, the Fenrir Tome (12 Might, 85 Hit) or the Meteor Tome (14 Might, 70 Hit) can be effective if she promotes to Onmyoji. If she remains a Priestess, her offensive options are limited to her personal weapon, the Flower Tome (10 Might, 95 Hit), and any tomes she might acquire through reclassification. Pairing Sakura with units that can protect her is essential. A strong defensive unit like Xander or Silas can act as a bodyguard, allowing her to safely use her staves or offensive magic. Units with the Rally Resistance skill can also bolster her survivability against magic-wielding enemies.

Her reclassification options offer flexibility. While Priestess focuses on healing and survivability, Onmyoji allows her to become a competent offensive magic user. If she reclasses into a Troubadour, she gains access to the Valkyrie class, which offers both Staves and Tomes, along with the Renewal skill, providing passive HP regeneration. However, this path is generally less potent than the Hoshidan classes for her. Regardless of her chosen path, ensuring she has sufficient movement to reach allies in need is crucial. Skills that increase movement or allow her to act after healing, such as the Live to Serve skill (restores own HP by half the HP restored to allies), can greatly enhance her utility. Her low physical defense means she should generally avoid direct combat unless she has significant defensive buffs or is in a very safe position.
