The Armory in Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation serves as the primary hub for managing your army's arsenal, allowing players to purchase, sell, and equip weapons and items. Within the Armory, You can access a wide variety of weaponry, ranging from basic swords and lances to more specialized tomes and bows. The available stock often rotates, and certain rare or powerful weapons may only appear after specific story progression or through special events. Each weapon has its own stats, including Might, Hit, Critical, and Durability, which directly impact a unit's combat effectiveness. For example, a Levin Sword might have high Might and decent Hit, making it a strong choice for magic-users, while a Killer Lance offers a significant Critical bonus, ideal for units with high Speed.
Weapon forging is a crucial mechanic that allows players to customize and enhance their existing weapons, or even create entirely new ones with unique properties. This is typically done at the Forge, which can be accessed through the Armory or as a standalone building in My Castle. The forging process requires specific materials, such as Iron, Steel, or rare ores like Meteorite, which are obtained through battles, exploration, or by defeating certain enemies. You can choose to forge a weapon based on a template, selecting the base weapon type and then investing materials to improve its stats or add special effects. For instance, forging an Iron Sword might allow you to add +2 Might and +5 Hit for a cost of 5 Iron and 100 Gold. The cost in Gold and materials increases with the power and rarity of the forged weapon.
