Mining Point Locations
In Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, strategically locating and utilizing Mining Points is crucial for acquiring valuable ores and gems that can be used for crafting and upgrading. These points are not static and will appear in various locations throughout your campaign, often tied to specific map objectives or hidden within the environment.
Early in the game, you'll find Mining Points on maps like the "Whispering Plains" and the "Sunken Ruins." These initial points typically yield common ores such as Iron Ore and Copper Ore. As you progress to more challenging chapters, such as the "Dragon's Maw" or the "Crystal Caves," you'll encounter rarer Mining Points that can yield Silver Ore, Gold Ore, and even precious gems like Sapphires and Rubies. Keep an eye on your map during the preparation phase; highlighted areas or special icons often denote the presence of a Mining Point.
Some Mining Points are only accessible after completing specific map objectives, like defeating a boss or capturing a fort. Others might be guarded by enemy units, requiring you to clear a path before you can send a unit to mine. Units with high Luck stats may have a slightly increased chance of yielding rarer materials from a Mining Point, though this is not guaranteed. It's also worth noting that some Mining Points are time-sensitive and will disappear after a certain number of turns, so prioritize them if they are within reach.
Here's a general overview of where to look:
- Early Game Maps: Whispering Plains, Sunken Ruins, Forest of Echoes. Expect Iron, Copper, and occasionally Tin.
- Mid-Game Maps: Dragon's Maw, Crystal Caves, Volcanic Peaks. Look for Silver, Gold, and common gems like Amethysts.
- Late Game Maps: Celestial Citadel, Abyssal Depths, Forgotten Sanctuary. These areas have the highest chance of yielding Platinum Ore, rare gems like Emeralds and Diamonds, and unique crafting materials.
Always ensure you have a unit with sufficient movement to reach these points. Sometimes, a flying unit or a unit with the "Pass" skill can be invaluable for accessing hard-to-reach Mining Points.
