Weapons
Weapons are the core of combat in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, with each character's options locked to their current class. The game features a variety of weapon types, each with distinct uses and strategic implications. Understanding weapon proficiencies and the weapon triangle is essential for efficient combat.
Characters can wield a host of weapon types:
- Direct Weapons:
- Swords
- Lances
- Axes
- Ranged Options:
- Bows
- Tomes
- Daggers
- Healing: Staves are used to recover the health of injured allies.
As characters continuously use a weapon or staff, they become proficient with it, gaining the ability to wield stronger versions of that equipment. This system encourages consistent use of preferred weapon types.
Some weapons possess unique effects, such as:
- Weapon Triangle Inversion: Reversing the rock-paper-scissors relationship to gain an advantage against a normally strong weapon type.
- Debuffing: Lowering an enemy's stats.
The game also features unique unit types like the Manakete, who can transform into dragons, adding another layer of strategic depth to weapon and combat choices.
