Invading Other Castles
Invading other players' My Castles in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a vital component of the game's multiplayer experience, offering opportunities for rewards, experience, and the pursuit of achievements. When you choose to invade, you'll be pitted against the defensive setup of another player's My Castle.
Before initiating an invasion, you'll have the opportunity to scout the opposing Castle. This scouting phase is crucial for assessing the strength of their defenses. You can view the types of units they have stationed, their general levels, and sometimes even their assed skills. Use this information to determine if the battle is winnable and if the potential rewards are worth the risk.
When selecting an opponent, consider their Castle's rank and the visible strength of their units. It's often advisable to start with lower-ranked Castles to build confidence and gather resources. As you become more comfortable and your own forces grow stronger, you can then challenge more formidable opponents.
The battle itself plays out similarly to standard Fire Emblem encounters, but with the added strategic layer of the My Castle's layout. You'll deploy your own units onto the enemy's map and attempt to defeat their defending forces. Utilize terrain to your advantage, focus fire on dangerous enemy units, and employ your characters' unique skills and weapon triangle effectively.
Winning an invasion typically yields gold, experience points for your units, and sometimes even rare items or crafting materials. The specific rewards can vary depending on the strength of the opponent and your performance in the battle. Don't be discouraged by losses; each invasion, win or lose, provides valuable learning experience and helps you refine your offensive strategies for future encounters.
