Fire Emblem: Three Houses offers a deeply branching narrative, allowing players to experience the story through the eyes of different houses and their respective leaders. The game begins with the player, as Byleth, taking on the role of a professor at the Garreg Mach Monastery. Here, you will choose to al yourself with one of the three main houses: the Black Eagles (led by Edelgard von Hresvelg), the Blue Lions (led by Dimitri Blaiddyd), and the Golden Deer (led by Claude von Riegan). This initial choice is pivotal, setting the stage for the entire playthrough.

Each house's route explores the political tensions, ancient prophecies, and the looming war from its unique standpoint. The Black Eagles route delves into Edelgard's ambitions and her radical vision for Fódlan. The Blue Lions route focuses on Dimitri's struggle with his past and his quest for justice.
