Class System Overview
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes features a robust class system that allows you to customize your characters' abilities and combat roles. Characters begin with a base class and can promote into more advanced classes as they gain experience and meet certain requirements. Each class offers unique stat growths, weapon proficiencies, and special abilities, significantly impacting a character's effectiveness on the battlefield. Understanding the progression of these classes is vital for building a powerful and versatile army.
The class system is divided into several tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master. Beginner classes, such as the Lord class for Shez, provide foundational skills. Intermediate classes, like the Fighter or Thief, offer more specialized combat roles and allow access to new weapon types. To promote into an Intermediate class, a character typically needs to reach level 10 and possess an Intermediate Seal. Advanced classes, such as the Cavalier or Pegasus Knight, further refine a character's strengths and unlock potent combat arts. Promotion to an Advanced class usually requires reaching level 30 and using an Advanced Seal.
The highest tier, Master classes, represent the pinnacle of a character's potential. These classes, like the Great Knight or Wyvern Master, offer the most powerful stat bonuses and exclusive abilities. Reaching a Master class typically involves reaching level 30 in an Advanced class and using a Master Seal. Some characters may also have unique Master classes tied to their specific lineage or story path, such as Edelgard's unique Emperor class or Dimitri's unique High Lord class.
Beyond the core class progression, characters can also learn unique Combat Arts and Master Arts. Combat Arts are special attacks learned from specific classes, while Master Arts are even more powerful techniques learned from Master classes or through specific character development. For example, a character in the Thief class might learn the 'Steal' Combat Art, allowing them to pilfer items from enemies, while a Great Knight might learn the 'Mighty Blow' Master Art, a devastating charge attack. Equipping different weapons can also unlock new Combat Arts, adding another layer of customization. Mastering the class system and its associated abilities is key to optimizing your characters for the various challenges Fódlan presents, from skirmishes in the Whispers of Windhall to large-scale battles on the Gronder Field.
