Introduction to the Game
Welcome, new night guard, to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza! Your new job as the night shift security guard might seem simple, but don't be fooled. The animatronics here have a peculiar habit of wandering after hours, and it's your job to ensure they don't reach your office. This guide will equip you with the essential knowledge and strategies to survive your first few nights.
Your Office and Essential Tools
Your office is your sanctuary, but it's far from impenetrable. Understanding and using your limited resources is key to survival.
- The Monitor: Located on your desk, this allows you to access the security camera system. You'll primarily use this to track animatronic movements and manage the Music Box.
- The Flashlight: An invaluable tool, the flashlight has two primary uses:
- Office Illumination: Briefly flash it down the main hallway directly in front of your office to check for approaching animatronics like Toy Bonnie or Toy Chica.
- Ventilation System: When animatronics appear in the left or right ventilation shafts, quickly shine your flashlight into the vent opening to deter them. This is crucial for preventing jumpscares from Mangle and Balloon Boy.
- Freddy Fazbear Head (Mask): This is your primary defense against most animatronics. When an animatronic enters your office (excluding Foxy and The Puppet), immediately equip the mask by pressing the corresponding button or hovering over the icon. Keep it on until they leave.
Understanding the Camera System
The camera system is your eyes throughout the pizzeria. While it drains power, strategic use is vital.
- CAM 11 (Game Area): This camera is critical for monitoring The Puppet. You must constantly wind up the Music Box located on this camera feed to prevent The Puppet from activating and leaving its box. Failure to do so will result in an unavoidable jumpscare.
- CAM 07 (Main Hall): Keep an eye on this camera to track the progress of animatronics moving down the main hallway towards your office.
- CAM 03 (Party Room 3): This is a common staging area for several animatronics, including Toy Freddy and Bonnie.
- CAM 04 (Party Room 4): Often used by Chica and Mangle as they make their way towards your vents.
Initial Night Strategy (Night 1 & 2)
The first couple of nights are your training ground. Focus on these core actions:
- Music Box Management: Your absolute top priority is the Music Box on CAM 11. Flip up your monitor, navigate to CAM 11, and hold down the "wind up" button. Do this frequently, even if for just a second or two, to keep the music playing.
- Hallway Checks: After winding the Music Box, immediately drop your monitor and flash your flashlight down the main hallway. This will reveal if any animatronics are directly in front of your office.
- Ventilation Checks: Periodically, quickly check both the left and right vent lights. If you see an animatronic's face in a vent opening, immediately shine your flashlight into it until they retreat.
- Mask Usage: If you drop your monitor and see an animatronic in your office (e.g., Toy Bonnie on the right, Toy Chica on the left, or Freddy in the center), quickly equip your Freddy Fazbear Head mask. Wait for them to leave before doing anything else.
Remember, efficiency is key. Minimize the time spent on your monitor to conserve power and avoid missing animatronics entering your office or vents. Practice these steps, and you'll be well on your way to surviving the early nights.
