Mastering the Cycle

Master the Night 5 cycle in FNaF 2 by rapidly winding the Music Box, checking vents, and flashing the hallway to survive animatronic threats.

On Night 5, mastering a rapid and efficient cycle of actions is the only way to survive. Your cycle should look something like this:

  • 1. Wind Music Box: Immediately open the monitor, go to CAM 11, and wind the music box for 2-3 seconds.
  • 2. Check Vents: Close the monitor. Quickly check the left vent opening with your flashlight, then the right vent opening. If an animatronic is present, immediately put on the mask until they leave.
  • 3. Flash Hallway: After checking vents (and dealing with any animatronics), quickly flash your flashlight down the main hallway for 1-2 seconds to deter Foxy and check for Golden Freddy.
  • 4. Repeat: Go back to winding the music box.
This cycle needs to be executed with extreme speed and precision. Any delay can result in a jump scare. Listen for audio cues constantly, as they can alert you to animatronics even when you're on the monitor.
