The Freddy Fazbear Head (often referred to as 'the mask') is your most versatile defensive tool, activated by pressing 'W' (or 'X' in some versions) or clicking the mask icon. When equipped, most animatronics will perceive you as one of them and leave your office. Its primary uses are:

  • Deterring Vent Animatronics: If Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Withered Bonnie, Withered Chica, Balloon Boy, or The Mangle appear in the vent openings, immediately put on the mask until they leave.
  • Deterring Office Animatronics: If Toy Freddy, Withered Freddy, or Golden Freddy enter your office, quickly put on the mask until they disappear.
The mask is ineffective against Withered Foxy and The Puppet (once it has left the Prize Corner). While wearing the mask, you cannot use the monitor or flashlight, and your vision is restricted.
