FNAF's controls are deceptively simple, yet mastering them is key to survival. You primarily interact with the environment using your mouse. There are no complex movement mechanics; you are confined to your office chair.
Core Controls:
- Mouse Cursor: Used to look around the office, interact with the camera monitor, and activate lights/doors.
- Left Click: Activate lights, close doors, open/close the camera monitor.
- Spacebar (or Mouse Click on Monitor Icon): Toggle the camera monitor up/down.
User Interface Elements:
Your office UI provides critical information:
- Power Meter: Located in the bottom-left corner, this displays your remaining power percentage. It depletes constantly, and faster when using lights, doors, or cameras.
- Time Display: In the top-right, showing the current hour (12 AM to 6 AM). Each hour lasts approximately 86 seconds in real-time.
- Camera Map: When the monitor is up, this shows the layout of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and the active camera feed.
- Door/Light Buttons: On either side of your office, these control the respective doors and hallway lights.
