Freddy is the titular animatronic and the most strategic. He is initially inactive but becomes a major threat from Night 3 onwards. He follows a set path and is only deterred by being viewed on camera. If he reaches your office and you run out of power, he will jumpscare you.

Behavioral Traits:

  • Movement Path: Show Stage (CAM 1A) -> Dining Area (CAM 1B) -> Restrooms (CAM 7) -> Kitchen (CAM 6) -> East Hall (CAM 4A) -> East Hall Corner (CAM 4B) -> Right Door.
  • Visual Cue: Can be seen on various cameras along his path. At the East Hall Corner (CAM 4B), he hides in the shadows, making him harder to spot.
  • Audio Cue: A distinct, deep laugh when he moves to a new location.
  • Deterrent: Viewing him on camera (any camera he is currently on) will reset his position or slow his progress. If he is at the right door (CAM 4B), you must view him on camera to deter him. If he's at your right door and you see him in the light, close the door.

Strategy Against Freddy:

From Night 3 onwards, you must incorporate Freddy into your camera cycle. After checking Foxy and the doors, quickly check CAM 4A or CAM 4B. If you hear his laugh, quickly identify his location and check that camera. If he reaches CAM 4B, you must view him on that camera to prevent him from entering your office. If he's at your right door, close it. If you run out of power, he will appear in your left doorway, playing his jingle, before jumpscaring you.
