Strategy & Power Management — Five Nights at Freddy's Guide

Employ effective strategy and power management in Five Nights at Freddy's. Track Bonnie and Chica using cameras and lights while conserving precious energy.

Strategy:

  1. Initial Check (12 AM - 2 AM): Briefly check CAM 1A to see all animatronics. Then, keep your monitor down for a while to conserve power.
  2. Mid-Night Checks (2 AM - 4 AM): Start checking CAM 1A, then CAM 1B, and then the hallways (CAM 4A and CAM 4B for Bonnie, CAM 7 and CAM 6 for Chica).
  3. Door Checks: Around 3 AM-4 AM, start using your lights on the left and right doors. If Bonnie or Chica are there (you'll see them in the light or hear heavy breathing), close the door until they leave.
  4. Foxy: Briefly check Pirate Cove (CAM 1C) every 15-20 seconds to ensure Foxy doesn't become active. On Night 1, this is mostly for practice.

Power Management:

You have a generous power budget on Night 1. Aim to finish with at least 30-40% power remaining. Avoid leaving doors closed for more than a few seconds. Use quick light checks. Don't spam the camera.
