The heart of FNAF's challenge lies in understanding the four main animatronics: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. Each has unique behaviors and threat levels.

  • Bonnie the Bunny: Moves exclusively on the left side. He's often the first to move and can be very aggressive. He will appear at your left door.
  • Chica the Chicken: Moves exclusively on the right side. She's generally slower than Bonnie but can be just as persistent. She will appear at your right door.
  • Foxy the Pirate Fox: Stays in Pirate Cove (CAM 1C). He has a three-stage movement pattern: peeking out, standing in the doorway, and then sprinting down the West Hall (CAM 4A). If he sprints, you must close the left door immediately.
  • Freddy Fazbear: The titular animatronic. He is initially inactive but becomes a major threat in later nights. He follows a set path through the pizzeria and will only attack from the right door if he reaches your office and you run out of power. He also has a unique laugh cue.

Monitoring their positions and reacting appropriately is crucial for survival. We'll delve deeper into specific strategies for each animatronic in later sections.
