How to Beat Heavy Tank (ACF)

Destroy the Heavy Tank (ACF) in Garry's Mod. This guide reveals how to bypass its thick armor and target its vulnerable rear and side plating.

Threat Level: Extreme (Armor, Firepower)

Description: A heavy tank built with ACF is a slow but incredibly resilient and destructive force. It will feature thick armor, powerful cannons (e.g., 120mm or 150mm), and potentially secondary machine guns. It's designed to withstand heavy punishment and dish it out.

Weaknesses:

  • Rear/Side Armor: Armor is typically thinnest on the rear and sometimes the sides.
  • Tracks/Wheels: Destroying mobility components can immobilize it.
  • Optics/Turret Ring: Targeting vulnerable points like the gun barrel, optics, or the turret ring can disable its offensive capabilities.
  • Slow Speed: Heavy tanks are generally slow and can be outmaneuvered.

Strategies:

  1. Flanking Maneuvers: Never approach a heavy tank head-on. Try to get to its sides or rear.
  2. Anti-Tank Weapons: Use ACF-compatible anti-tank weapons (e.g., RPGs, ATGM launchers, or other ACF tanks with high-caliber guns).
  3. Coordinated Attacks: Multiple players attacking from different angles are far more effective. One player can distract while others target weak points.
  4. Cover: Utilize buildings, terrain, and other large objects for cover between shots.
  5. Artillery/Air Support (if available): If the server has ACF artillery or aircraft, these can be devastating against tanks.

Rewards: The ultimate bragging rights in ACF combat, and potentially valuable salvage from the destroyed tank.
