Weapons and Combat — Garry's Mod Guide
Garry's Mod offers a diverse arsenal through community-created SWEPs (Scripted Weapons), ranging from realistic firearms to fantastical implements. These weapons can drastically alter gameplay, providing unique combat mechanics and strategic options. Understanding the types of SWEPs available and their functionalities is key to mastering combat in Garry's Mod.
- Devil May Cry Series Weapons:

- Unique Weapons:
- Archer Crossbow: Fires fast-moving, high-damage flaming bolts that can pin enemies to walls. Holding left-click charges the bow, increasing bolt damage.
- BubbleGun: A toy gun that blows bubbles.
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Knives: 12 different knives available as SWEPs with new sounds and viewmodel arms. Press 'R' to inspect.
- Cry of Fear Lantern: A lantern that emits light, designed for dark atmospheres. Primary fire (E + Left click) drops the lantern.
- Intervention (MW2): A modern-era sniper rifle SWEP with a heartbeat sensor, original sounds, and a world model. Requires CSS for bullet shells.
- Team Psykskallar Weapons: Fully reworked textures, models, and sounds. Includes Digital Camera, M16, and Glock 19. Press E + Left click for melee, E + Right click to change firemode on M16 or switch flashlight on Glock 19.
- Weapon Mechanics:
- Machine guns and bazookas require deployment (crouching or on a ledge) before use.
- Weapons require spawning corresponding ammo to function.
- An addon exists to automatically make weapon select icons and killicons match vanilla HL2 styles, replacing all SWEP icons to look like HL2 weapons.
