Objective: Construct a vehicle capable of sustained flight.
Strategy:
- Start with a Base: Spawn a flat, lightweight prop (e.g., a metal plate or a wooden plank) as your chassis.
- Add Thrusters: From the 'Entities' tab in the Spawn Menu (Q), spawn several 'Thrusters'. Attach them to your base. Experiment with placement for lift and forward motion.
- Control System: Use the 'Keypad' tool (from the Tool Gun) to link thrusters to specific keys. For example, one keypad for 'W' to activate forward thrusters, another for 'Space' to activate upward thrusters.
- Steering: Add 'Gyroscopes' (from 'Entities') for stability and 'Hoverballs' (from 'Tools' tab, under 'Constraints') for fine-tuned control. You can also use thrusters angled for directional control.
- Test and Refine: Launch your creation. Observe how it flies (or crashes!). Use the 'Remover' tool and 'Z' (undo) to make adjustments. Add more thrusters, change their force, or adjust their angles.
Reward: A functional flying vehicle, mastery of thrusters and control systems, and immense satisfaction.
