  • Playermodel and NPC Addons: Many mods offer characters as both player models and NPCs. Examples include:
    • Cinder Fall from RWBY, featuring a playermodel, friendly NPC, ragdoll, face posing, viewmodel hands, jigglebones, and alternate texture group for her semblance.
    • Alice NPC/Playermodel, ported from Left 4 Dead 2.
    • Amatsukaze from Kancolle, with playermodel, enemy/friendly NPC, ragdoll, first-person view arms, bodygroups, hitboxes, jigglebones for hair tie and skirt, and face/eye posing.
    • Appearence Miku (Default) from Vocaloid, offering playermodel, enemy/friendly NPC, ragdoll, first-person view arms, bodygroups, hitboxes, jigglebones for hair tie and skirt, and hand/face/eye posing.

    • CoD MW2 Playermodels include US army, US dark army, RU army, TF 141, TFB, FSB, and Juggernaut.
  • Animation Mods: Mods like "L4D animations ported for gmod playermodels" require xdReanimsBase and occupy player slot 046, providing new animations for player models.
  • Texture Customization: Some mods allow for texture changes, such as using the material tool on c_models with Team Fortress 2 textures.
