Customizing Weapons and Entities
Garry's Mod allows extensive customization of weapons and entities, enabling players to tailor their gameplay experience. From unique weapon models and animations to custom character appearances, the possibilities are vast. This customization extends to both visual aesthetics and functional attributes, offering a personalized touch to your sandbox creations.
- Weapon Addons:
- Kimono's Beretta 92FS: Features ironsights, a run pose, world model, icon, and sounds. It uses HyperMetal's FNP45 animations and Generic Default's SWEP base.
- Darken217's SciFi Weapons: A collection of SciFi weapons that has been updated over the years to add content and address issues.
- Weapons from Devil May Cry 4: Includes SWEPS and PROPS such as Red Queen (Nero's sword), Sparda (Trish's sword), Rebellion (Dante's sword), and Yamato (Vergil's sword). All swords are SWEPS.
- Weapons from DmC: Devil May Cry: Includes SWEPS like Arbiter (Dante's demonic axe), Rebellion (Dante's sword), Yamato (Vergil's sword), and Osiris (Dante's 'angelic scythe'). All listed are SWEPS.
- Archer Crossbow: A magical weapon that fires fast-moving, high-damage flaming bolts and pins enemies to walls. Holding left click charges the bow, determining bolt damage.
- BubbleGun: A toy gun that blows bubbles.
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Knives: Features 12 different knives, new sounds, viewmodel arms (c_arms) compatibility, and an inspect animation activated by pressing the 'R' button.
- MW2 Intervention: A SWEP with GDCW, including its heartbeat sensor (which moves), original sounds, and a world model. Requires CSS for bullet shells.
- Team Psykskallar Weapons: Fully reworked textures, models, and sounds. Press E and Left click to melee; press E and Right click to change firemode on the M16 and switch flashlight on the Glock 19. Included: Digital Camera.
- Entity Customization:
- Isaac Clarke & John Carver: From Dead Space 3, with default, arctic survival, and archaeologist outfits. They have bodygrouped helmets, health bar, and stasis variation bodygroups, and full FACS face.
- Amatsukaze from Kancolle: Features a playermodel, NPC enemy friendly ragdoll, first-person view arms, bodygroups, hitboxes/TTT ready, jigglebones (Hair Tie, Skirt), weapon pose, face eyes (using faceposer), and fingers proportions.
- Drive and Spawnable Map with Guns and Drop Pods: Comes as an entity with one bodygroup (outer shield) and engine particles.
- Weapon Control Notes:
- To reload machine guns, deploy them by crouching or on a ledge.
- To use a bazooka, deploy it first.
- To use weapons, spawn the corresponding ammo for the selected weapon.
- Weapon Icon Customization: An addon automatically creates weapon select icons and killicons matching vanilla HL2 styles, replacing all weapon selection icons to create a consistent HL2 look.
