Terrified Enemy Arrows
The 'Witness Protection' trophy in Ghost of Tsushima requires you to shoot a terrified enemy with an arrow while they are fleeing. Terror can be instilled in enemies through various means, making this a surprisingly achievable, albeit specific, combat challenge. Mastering these fear-inducing tactics will not only help with this trophy but also offer tactical advantages in combat.
Several abilities and items can cause enemies to flee in terror. Winning a tense standoff, using poison darts, or activating the Ghost Stance are all effective methods. The Ghost Armor also has a chance to terrify enemies upon killing them, further aiding this endeavor. The key is to identify a terrified enemy and quickly switch to your bow to land a shot before they escape your sight.
Methods to Terrify Enemies:
- Winning Standoffs: Successfully winning a standoff can intimidate nearby enemies.
- Poison Darts: These ghost weapons can inflict fear and cause enemies to flee.
- Ghost Stance: Activating Ghost Stance often causes enemies to panic and run.
- Terrifying Perfect Parry: A specific combat skill that can scare enemies.
- Ghost Armor: When equipped and upgraded, kills with this armor have a chance to terrify foes.
During the 'The Ghost of Yarikawa' quest, you'll have ample opportunity to practice this, as many enemies will flee after you utilize Ghost Stance.
