Good Riddance

Earn the "Good Riddance" achievement by clearing all Mongol strongholds and encampments on the island of Tsushima. This accomplishment sifies your dedication to liberating the land from the invaders. Strategize your approach to each stronghold, utilizing stealth, combat, and environmental advantages.

The "Good Riddance" achievement in Ghost of Tsushima is awarded for liberating all Mongol occupied territories, which includes their various strongholds, encampments, and occupied villages across the three main regions: Izuhara, Toyotama, and Kamiagata. To achieve this, you must systematically clear out every single enemy presence marked on your map. Each stronghold and encampment presents a unique challenge, often featuring a mix of enemy types, alarm systems, and defensive structures. The most effective strategy involves a combination of stealth and direct combat. Before assaulting a stronghold, it's highly recommended to scout it from a distance. Use your grappling hook to reach vantage points and observe enemy patrols, identify alarm bells, and locate key targets. Prioritize taking out archers and shamans first, as they pose significant threats from afar and can buff other enemies. Utilize your Ghost weapons, such as the Kunai and Sticky Bombs, to thin out enemy numbers before engaging in melee. Smoke Bombs are invaluable for creating diversions or escaping dangerous situations. When engaging in direct combat, master the art of parrying and dodging. Utilize your different stances to counter specific enemy types effectively. Stone Stance is excellent against heavily armored foes, while Wind Stance is ideal for crowd control. Remember to use the environment to your advantage; explosive barrels, haystacks for stealth, and elevated positions can all be used to your benefit. After clearing a stronghold, you'll often find valuable resources, such as Iron, Steel, and Ghost Flowers, as well as liberating the area, which can lead to new side quests and collectibles appearing. Completing "Good Riddance" not only unlocks the achievement but also significantly contributes to the overall liberation of Tsushima, making the world a safer place for its inhabitants.
