Boss Guides
Boss battles in Ghost of Tsushima often conclude Mythic Tales, providing a significant challenge and rewarding players with mythical abilities or special armor. These encounters require strategic combat and understanding enemy patterns. Preparing for these fights, including dealing with specific enemy types like archers or fast-moving attackers, is crucial for success. Many Mythic Tales culminate in a boss fight.
During "The Curse of Uchitsune" quest, you will face a boss named Kaeda. She is described as fairly straightforward and should not pose too much trouble. A key aspect of this fight involves protecting Yamoto from Mongols with flashing red skulls, who aim to kill him. Archers, while not targeting Yamoto, can overwhelm you, so dealing with them from a distance using a bow or projectiles is advisable. Staying close to Yamoto helps prevent him from being overexposed.
Another example is the boss battle at the end of "The Unbreakable Gosaku" quest. After following the wind to a mountain top and finding a musician, you must take out Mongols before collecting the armor. Some Mongols will specifically target Yamoto, indicated by red skulls, and must be eliminated quickly. Archers should be dealt with from a distance to avoid being overwhelmed.
