Ghost of Tsushima plunges players into the harrowing events of the first Mongol invasion of Tsushima in 1274. You play as Jin Sakai, a samurai warrior and nephew of Lord Shimura, who witnesses the brutal efficiency of the invading Mongol forces firsthand during the devastating Battle of Komoda Beach. The initial stages of the game focus on Jin's desperate struggle for survival and his subsequent efforts to rally the scattered samurai and defend his homeland.

The early game, as detailed in the Prologue section of the walkthrough, covers Jin's initial combat training, his escape from the occupied Komoda Town, and his first encounters with the formidable Khotun Khan. Following the fall of Castle Kaneda and the tragic events at Sakai Estate, Jin is forced to confront the harsh realities of war. The traditional samurai code of honor, which emphasizes direct confrontation and honorable duels, proves insufficient against the overwhelming might and ruthless tactics of the Mongol army.

As the story progresses into Act I and beyond, Jin begins to adopt the methods of the "Ghost." This involves utilizing stealth, deception, and unconventional tactics to strike fear into the hearts of the invaders. The walkthrough will guide you through liberating key locations across Tsushima, such as the various **Mongol Camps & Outposts** that dot the landscape. Clearing these areas not only pushes back the Mongol occupation but also yields valuable resources like Supplies, Iron, and Steel, which are essential for upgrading your gear and unlocking new abilities.

A significant part of the narrative involves Jin seeking allies and undertaking **Tales of Tsushima**.
