Post-Game Unlockables

Congratulations, Triad hopeful! Completing the main storyline in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is just the beginning. Liberty City still holds many secrets, challenges, and lucrative opportunities for Huang Lee. This section details the exciting content that becomes available after you've wrapped up the final mission, "Salt in the Wound." Prepare to dive deeper into the criminal underworld and truly dominate the streets!

100% Completion Rewards

Achieving 100% completion in Chinatown Wars unlocks several prestigious rewards, signifying your mastery of every aspect of the game. This includes completing all story missions, side missions, collecting all hidden items, and achieving top scores in various activities.

  • Unlimited Ammo for All Weapons: This is arguably the most impactful unlockable. Once you hit 100%, head to any Ammu-Nation store. You'll find that all weapons you purchase will now come with an endless supply of ammunition, making future rampages, gang wars, and mission replays significantly easier and more explosive. No more worrying about running out of bullets in a firefight!
  • Health Regeneration: A subtle but incredibly useful perk. After reaching 100% completion, your health will slowly regenerate over time when you are not taking damage. This greatly reduces the need for health pickups and makes surviving prolonged engagements much more manageable.
  • Increased Damage Resistance: Huang will become tougher, taking less damage from all sources. Combine this with health regeneration and unlimited ammo, and you become a truly unstoppable force.
  • "The Dragon" Outfit: A special, unique outfit for Huang Lee, symbolizing his ultimate triumph in Liberty City. This stylish attire can be accessed from any safehouse wardrobe.
  • Additional Safehouse Customization Options: While not a major gameplay changer, you'll find new decorative items and themes available for purchase at your safehouses, allowing you to personalize your criminal hideouts even further.

New Side Missions and Activities

Even after the main story, Liberty City offers plenty of ways to earn cash, cause mayhem, and test your skills.

  • Rampages: While some Rampages are available pre-completion, a significant number of these timed, weapon-based destruction challenges only appear after the main story. Look for the skull icon on your map. Completing all Rampages is crucial for 100% completion and often rewards you with large sums of cash and weapon unlocks at your safehouse.
  • Unique Jumps: The remaining Unique Jumps scattered across Liberty City become prime targets. Successfully landing these daring stunts often rewards you with a small cash bonus and contributes to your completion percentage. Use a fast vehicle like the Comet or the Banshee for the best results.
  • Hidden Packages (Security Cameras): If you haven't already, tracking down all 100 Security Cameras is a major post-game endeavor. Each camera you destroy contributes to your completion and unlocks a weapon at your safehouse for every 10 cameras destroyed. Destroying all 100 unlocks the most powerful weapons, including the Flamethrower and Rocket Launcher, directly in your safehouse weapon stash.
  • Drug Dealing Expansion: The drug dealing mini-game becomes even more vital for accumulating wealth. With the entire map unlocked and all gang territories accessible, you can now fully exploit the supply and demand mechanics to maximize your profits. Keep an eye on the PDA for price fluctuations and special deals.
  • Gang Wars: Engage in ongoing gang wars across the city. These dynamic events, often triggered by your actions in specific territories, offer opportunities for intense combat, vehicle destruction, and significant cash rewards. Conquering territories can also influence drug prices in those areas.

Vehicle Unlocks

Certain vehicles, often more powerful or unique, become available for purchase or spawn more frequently after completing the story.

  • Rhino Tank: While not directly purchasable, the Rhino Tank can be acquired post-game by achieving a 6-star wanted level and surviving for a short period. It will often spawn in military convoys. Alternatively, after 100% completion, a Rhino Tank will permanently spawn at the Francis International Airport runway.
  • Hunter Attack Helicopter: Similar to the Rhino, the Hunter can be found at Francis International Airport after achieving 100% completion. This powerful helicopter is excellent for causing widespread destruction and quickly traversing the map.
  • Special Vehicles at Safehouses: Depending on your completion percentage and specific side mission completions, certain unique vehicles may become available to spawn at your safehouses. Check your garage for any new additions.

Replaying Missions

The ability to replay any completed story mission is a fantastic post-game feature. This is perfect for:

  • Improving Scores: Aim for higher scores, faster times, or more efficient combat.
  • Experimenting with Weapons: With unlimited ammo, you can try out different weapon combinations and strategies without fear of running out.
  • Reliving Favorite Moments: Revisit the most memorable moments of Huang's journey through Liberty City.

To replay a mission, simply access your PDA, navigate to the "Missions" tab, and select the desired mission from the list of completed objectives.
