Ammu-Nation Inventory & Prices

Ammu-Nation is your one-stop shop for all your weapon and armor needs in Liberty City. While the selection isn't as vast as in previous Grand Theft Auto titles, what's available is essential for surviving the mean streets. Prices are fixed, but knowing what's available and when can significantly impact your mission success.

There are several Ammu-Nation locations scattered across Liberty City. While the inventory remains consistent across all stores, their strategic placement makes some more convenient depending on your current location and mission objectives. Always stock up before a major confrontation!

Ammu-Nation Locations

  • Broker: Located in the Schottler district, easily accessible from Niko's first safehouse.
  • Dukes: Found in Steinway, a good stop before heading into Algonquin.
  • Bohan: Situated in Northern Gardens, useful for early game missions in Bohan.
  • Algonquin: Two locations here – one in Star Junction (very central) and another in The Exchange (near the financial district).
  • Alderney: Located in Acter, convenient for later game missions in Alderney.

Armor & Health

Protection is just as important as firepower. Always ensure you have full body armor before heading into a dangerous situation.

  • Body Armor: $500
    • Provides a significant defensive boost, absorbing damage before your health depletes.
    • Always purchase this if you're low, especially before difficult missions.
  • Health Pack: Not sold at Ammu-Nation.
    • Health can be replenished by eating food at fast-food joints (Cluckin' Bell, Burger Shot, Pizza This) or drinking soda from vending machines.
    • Alternatively, visiting a safehouse and sleeping will fully restore health.

Purchasing Strategy

When visiting Ammu-Nation, consider the following:

  • Prioritize Body Armor: This is your most crucial defensive item. Always top it up.
  • Ammo Management: While you can pick up ammo from fallen enemies, buying it ensures you're always fully loaded. Ammo prices are generally reasonable.
  • Mission-Specific Weapons: For missions requiring long-range precision, invest in a Sniper Rifle. For close-quarters combat, a Shotgun or SMG is ideal.
  • Explosives for Vehicles: If you anticipate vehicle chases or heavily armored targets, an RPG or Grenades are invaluable.
  • Early Game Savings: In the early stages, stick to the Pistol, Micro SMG, and Pump Shotgun to save money. Upgrade to more powerful weapons as your income increases.

Remember, a well-armed Niko is a successful Niko. Don't be shy about spending your hard-earned cash at Ammu-Nation to ensure you're prepared for whatever Liberty City throws at you.
