Radio Station Playlists
Liberty City boasts an eclectic mix of radio stations, each offering a unique soundtrack to your criminal exploits. Tuning into the right station can enhance your gameplay experience, whether you're cruising through Algonquin, evading the LCPD in Bohan, or simply enjoying the scenery. This section details each station, its primary genre, and highlights some of its most notable tracks and DJs.
Changing Stations and Customization
While in any vehicle, you can cycle through radio stations using the directional pad (left/right on Xbox 360, left/right on PS3) or the corresponding keyboard keys on PC. For a quick overview of available stations, hold down the station change button to bring up the radio wheel, allowing for faster selection.
- Personalized Playlists (PC Only): PC players have the unique ability to create a custom radio station called "Independence FM." To do this, place your desired MP3 files into the following directory:
Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\User Music. Once in-game, navigate to the audio settings and select "Complete Scan" to add your tracks. You can then choose Independence FM from the radio wheel and enjoy your own music while driving. - Radio Volume: Adjust the radio volume independently of other game sounds through the "Audio" section of the in-game pause menu. This is useful if you want to focus on dialogue or environmental sounds without completely turning off the music.
