In Firefighter missions, you'll take on the role of a firefighter, extinguishing vehicle fires and rescuing civilians from burning cars. These missions are initiated by entering a Fire Truck and pressing the L and R buttons simultaneously. Successfully completing levels will earn you cash and a very useful permanent immunity to fire damage.
How to Play:
- Acquire a Fire Truck: Steal a Fire Truck (often found at fire stations or by setting a car on fire and waiting for one to arrive).
- Activate Mission: Press L + R buttons.
- Drive to Fires: Your radar will show yellow markers indicating burning vehicles. Drive to the location.
- Extinguish Fires: Use the water cannon (Square button) to put out the flames. Aim carefully to extinguish all parts of the burning vehicle.
- Rescue Civilians: After extinguishing the fire, civilians may emerge from the vehicle. Drive near them to pick them up and then drop them off at a safe location (usually a hospital, marked on your radar).
- Complete Levels: Each level requires you to extinguish a certain number of fires and rescue civilians. The number of fires and the distance to them increase with each level.
Rewards:
- Cash: Earn money for each fire extinguished and civilian rescued, plus a bonus for completing levels.
- Fireproof Toni: Completing Level 12 of Firefighter missions will make Toni completely immune to fire damage. This is an incredibly powerful bonus, making certain missions and combat situations much easier.
Firefighter missions can be tricky due to the time limit and the need to manage the water cannon. Practice aiming and driving the large Fire Truck to master these missions.
