Minigames & Diversions

Liberty City isn't all about main missions and gang warfare; there are plenty of ways for Toni Cipriani to unwind, earn some extra cash, or hone his skills. These minigames and diversions offer a break from the main storyline and can be quite lucrative or provide valuable perks.

Vehicle-Based Challenges

These challenges put your driving and combat skills to the test, often rewarding you with significant cash and even vehicle upgrades.

Vigilante Missions

As a former made man, Toni has a knack for justice, or at least his own brand of it. Hop into any police vehicle (Cop Car, Enforcer, FBI Car, Rhino) and activate Vigilante missions to hunt down criminals.

  • Activation: Enter a police vehicle and press the R3 button (or the equivalent button on your control scheme).
  • Gameplay: You'll receive a target location for a criminal. Drive there, eliminate the target(s), and collect any dropped money or weapons. The difficulty and number of targets increase with each level.

    • Early Levels: Use the police vehicle itself to ram and run over targets. For armed targets, exit your vehicle and use a reliable weapon like the Pistol or SMG.
    • Later Levels: Criminals will often be in vehicles. A good strategy is to use the police car to block their escape, then exit and use a powerful weapon like the Shotgun or AK-47. Be mindful of your vehicle's health; if it's destroyed, you'll need to find another police vehicle to continue.

Paramedic Missions

Sometimes, even a gangster needs to play doctor. Steal an Ambulance and take on Paramedic missions to save lives across Liberty City.

  • Gameplay: Drive to designated fire locations, aim your water cannon (L1 + R1, or equivalent), and extinguish the flames. You'll also need to rescue any trapped citizens by driving near them after the fire is out.

    • Water Control: The water stream has a limited range. Get close enough to the fire but maintain a safe distance from explosions.
